Ramya Swami is a current Senior at UC San Diego. During her time at UCSD, Ramya was fortunate enough to attend the Social Cognition and Drugs Global Seminar Program held in the small town of Parma, Italy. In addition to eating the most delicious food (and parmesan cheese) she has ever tasted in her life, Ramya traveled around Europe, visiting places like Barcelona, the Amalfi Coast, Amsterdam, London, Rome, Florence, and Manchester. In doing so, she developed an appreciation for different cultures, arts, and histories, and started an instagram blog to document her travels and share her experience. Since then, Ramya has been exploring the world of social media marketing and graphic design. Using software from Microsoft Office, the Adobe Creative Suite and Final Cut Pro, she creates flyers, videos, photo collages, and other collaborative projects for use on her various social media platforms. This material is used to spread awareness and attract interest for students who would like the chance to study abroad. Ramya thoroughly enjoys the challenge that social media marketing provides and finds herself wanting to pursue a career that allows her to employ this sort of creativity while working in the corporate field.
