Nydia is a Study Abroad Advisor at UC San Diego. She is an alumna of San Diego State University where she completed both her undergraduate and graduate degrees. She has a B.S in Criminal Justice and Arabic and Islamic Studies as well as a Minor in Spanish and a Masters in Post-Secondary Educational Leadership with a Specialization in Student Affairs. She studied abroad in Spain and taught English in Morocco for a Summer during her undergrad and has since traveled to many other countries in Europe and Asia. She was also born in Mexico and visits often, so she's familiar with that region's beauty and all it offers. Nydia has worked in a few other student service areas, and she is passionate about creating pathways for underrepresented students to go abroad. Her tip for students is to take advantage of the resources available to help you go abroad.
