Living Arrangements

Housing

  • Furnished rental homes in the Santa Úrsula neighborhood, 15-30 minutes by Metrobus to La Case de la Universidad de California en México
  • Each house has 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms, with a kitchen, dining room and living room.
  • Housing arrangements are subject to change based on local circumstances without prior notice. No price adjustments are possible.

Meals

Meals that are included:

  • Welcome dinner
  • A cook will be hired to provide breakfast and some main meals six days a week.
  • Food stipend included in program fee
  • Farewell dinner

Classroom and Computer Access

  • Classroom in the Casa de California
  • Small computer lab available from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm
  • Wireless access may be intermittent due to local conditions. No refunds or price adjustments are possible.

Transportation

  • Airport pick up and drop off
  • Metrobus cards good for a daily round trip between housing and the city included

Phones

  • Students are strongly recommended to have a working cell phone for emergency contact purposes while abroad.
  • Cell phone is not included in the program fee.

Insurance, Health, and Safety

  • Comprehensive international travel and health insurance package 
  • An in-depth orientation will be given on the morning after arrival, including health and safety procedures.
  • Program partner staff will be available by telephone after hours.
  • All students must register for UC travel insurance. This is free coverage, but registration is required prior to departure.
