Living Arrangements

Housing

  • Double room in centrally located shared apartment
  • Linen and weekly cleaning service included.
  • Wi-Fi provided in apartment.
  • Housing arrangements are subject to change based on local circumstances without prior notice. No price adjustments are possible.

Meals

Meals that are included:

  • Welcome dinner
  • Lunch at the Bauhaus University cafeteria
  • Thuringian specialities event in Weimar's oldest restaurant
  • Farewell dinner

Classroom and Computer Access

  • Classroom at Bauhaus University
  • Computer lab access available, but you should also bring your own laptop.
  • Wireless access may be intermittent due to local conditions. No refunds or price adjustments are possible.

Transportation

  • Pick up and drop off at the Weimar train station
  • With Bauhaus University temporary ID local trains or buses will be free during the program.
  • Transportation provided on all group excursions.

Phones

  • Students are strongly recommended to have a working cell phone for emergency contact purposes while abroad.
  • Cell phone is not included in the program fee.

Insurance, Health, and Safety

  • Comprehensive international travel and health insurance package 
  • An in-depth orientation will be given on the morning after arrival, including health and safety procedures.
  • Program partner staff will be available by telephone after hours.
  • All students must register for UC travel insurance. This is free coverage, but registration is required prior to departure.
