Elly Vogt

Global Seminars Coordinator

While obtaining her undergraduate degree in Communications with a certificate in Entrepreneurial Management at The University of Iowa, Elly had her first educational experiences abroad. These included an internship in London, England, and studying abroad on the Gold Coast, Australia at Bond University. Her experiences living and studying abroad inspired her to independently move to Sydney, Australia for a year after graduation and lead to many other independent travel experiences around the world.

Her experiences abroad were so impactful that she decided to complete her Master's in International Education from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies in order to facilitate valuable intercultural experiences for students of all backgrounds. Elly first joined UC San Diego when completing her graduate practicum with the Study Abroad office. After graduate school, she served as an Undergraduate Advisor in the Psychology Department at UC San Diego before joining the Study Abroad team again as a Global Seminars Coordinator.

In her free time, Elly works on her small business, selling fair-trade and organic reusable produce bags. She also loves yoga, pottery and finding great walking trails around San Diego (and of course traveling).
