Why you should go

This Global Seminar is a hybrid “study away” program, which combines three weeks of remote instruction with a two-week thoroughly immersive experience with disability communities and community-based organizations in Santa Cruz, CA.

Who should go

This Global Seminar has been approved to fulfill the DEI requirement. It will also fulfill the MMW15/122 requirement for ERC students.Consult your academic advisor to determine officially how the will apply to your graduation requirements.

  • Camphill Community: Camphill is part of a global network of more than 100 communities. Camphill California is a community for adults with developmental disabilities and of all abilities who seek to live out a vision of community that involves relationships of mutual respect, ongoing education, meaningful work, and natural circles of support. Camphill aims to create a community that supports all individual abilities and recognizes the dignity and potential of every person. One of their main day activities is gardening, as well as producing and processing herbs.
